As Canada is committed to the carbon-zero goal, the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region has strong potential to lead in clean energy. However, while various development opportunities emerge, chronic labour shortages have raised growing concerns about the Region’s capacity to support emerging opportunities in the clean energy sector. In response, we initiated the Clean Energy Impacts project to investigate further. By incorporating quantitative data analysis with qualitative information collected through stakeholder interviews and focus groups, we seek to provide our partners and local communities with local data to support formulation of targeted workforce planning strategies. By combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative insights from stakeholder interviews and focus groups, the project findings provide partners and local communities with region-specific data to inform targeted workforce planning strategies.
